The tool helps to translate smaller dimensions from your source images to larger dimensions on your canvas (and vice versa from large to small) making sure everything stays in proportion. I was able to figure out how to use it with the help of YouTube Videos. An instruction delivered with it might be helpful. It takes a while to get used to the handling of the tool. It is made of wood and feels great in your hands. Despite of the wood it has sharp tips that allow to position it properly on your source. All in all a great new discovery for me.

I love my portion tool. I looked everywhere online and I could not find one the size I got from Milan Institute. It is really nicely made and helps me to scale up much easier than the small one I have.

As someone with no drawing experience this kit saved my life because everything I needed for all my lessons in the mastery program is all in one kit! I would never had been able to identify or find the blending stumps or the compressed charcoal. It even comes with a razor to sharpen graphite and the handy little sand paper strip to clean the blending stumps. Honestly I can't recommend it enough for beginners! Oh and the measuring tool that is included is LIFE!

MILAN ART 'Mastery' Brush Set

I’m in the Mastery Program and was looking to upgrade my basic set of oil paints (I have the Explorer Set). This set did the job and more! Now I look forward to when I can afford to buy the instruction course for the Vivids, to better unlock their secrets!

I have a variety of inks but not the pearlescent ones so when I saw these I had to get them. They are wonderful! The colors are rich and shiny and perfect for that first layer!

This is my second set of these brushes. I bought the first set when I signed up for the Mastery Program. I kept getting them mixed up with acrylic vs oil so I bought a second set. No brainer!!! I now have one dedicated to each medium. They are good quality, easy to clean, restore back to their original shape with very little effort. Highly recommend them!

So I have been saving this paint because I have so many other brands to use up first, but last night I broke down and opened a couple of tubes. Right away, I could see the difference. It is thick and rich and smooth and so easy to apply. I can't wait to get into the rest of it!

This sketch book is gorgeous. The cover is a beautiful soft leather with an engraved quote from Vincent Van Gogh on the front and a personal encouraging message on the back. The paper is thick and sturdy with deckled edge and there is a lot of it! Highly recommend!
